Lafourche Parish Animal Shelter is government run shelter located in Thibodaux, LA. It serves the entire parish (pop. 90,000) Average annual intake is 3000 dogs and cats. We welcome and encourage rescue group partipication in order to save more pets, volunteers, fosters, and adopters. The Lafourche Parish Shelter makes appointments for residents' pets for the low-cost spay/neuter program which includes a $50 voucher. Our goal is to make Lafourche Parish a low-kill shelter in the future by reducing pet overpopulation parish-wide.

We rescue animals from people in crisis and the local animal shelters. we work closely with other pit bull rescue groups in order to educate the public on the gentle and loving nature of the breed. we are not limited to assisting with bully breeds we take in seniors and a lot of medical cases that we use UC Davis for. We do it to lessen the strain on the local shelter and educate the public on pet ownership.

New Love Animal Rescue is dedicated to finding homes for animals in need.

We are a non-profit 501c3 network of foster homes. Caring for the lost, abandoned, and homeless. Kittens/ Cats that were rescued off the streets or abandoned. From feral cats to sweet, loving and caring. These cats are looking for their loving FOREVER home. A place they can call their own and a family that will love them always.

ROAR (Rehoming Our Animal Refugees) is a non-profit humane society. Roar's mission is to aid the community in the prevention of cruelty to animals.

DC PAWS Rescue saves stray, neglected, unwanted and abused animals from animal control facilities and places them in safe, supportive and loving foster and adoptive homes in the Washington, DC and surrounding areas. We believe there is more to rescue than placing shelter animals into forever homes. We believe that rescue should support the people who support the rescue, and support the needs of the dogs and cats on their journey to a forever home. Concho Valley PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving) is dedicated to the missions of saving homeless animals from euthanasia, finding loving homes for adoptable pets, and encouraging public awareness of spay and neuter to control the unwanted pet population. We rescue dogs that are homeless or are on a shelters euthanasia list. We have them medically treated, altered, shots updated, micro-chipped with a life time free registration, Dogs that need their teeth cleaned get that done too.

We rescue animals from overcrowded local shelters. Our animals are placed in foster homes until medically and socially signed off for adoption. Our goal is to lessen the strain on the public shelters.

Friends Of Bedford County Animal Shelter promotes shelter animals, helps provide additional medical care not funded through the county, and finding homes or rescues for shelter pets.

We are Black Dogs & Company Rescue, Inc. (BD&CR) We rescue dogs from high kill shelters in Maryland and surrounding states. We are an all breed rescue but specialize in black dogs. Please read about black dog syndrome. These dogs are the last to be adopted (if at all) so they have a hard time leaving the shelter. You may have also noticed the old english sheepdog in our logo. We are the regional contact for OES rescue. They are not the dog for everyone but once you own one (and walk the sheepie way) you will love the breed!

We are a small, all volunteer, donation funded rescue, saving cats from high-kill shelters in California. We rescue cats: domestic, feral, seniors, and special needs. If a cat is not adopted, it become one of our Forever Cats and stays with us. We also utilize cat transports to out-of-state rescues. All of our rescue kitties are fully vetted by our Rescue Veterinarian. >^..^<

We rescue small dogs (primarily Chihuahuas) from shelters, owner surrenders, strays, and re-home them in order to prevent euthanasia.
