Here at ASHA we are doing what we can to help the animals. We are not yet a registered 501c3 rescue (but we are in the paper work process!) & we do not have a facility. We are just one family working with many friends, foster family's, volunteers, donors, supporters, neighbors & the community to try & make a difference in the world; One animal at a time. Our Board of Directors include: Our Founder & Executive Director Jessica Kratz, Pat Wilmsen is our Assistant Director, Matt Buleza is our Treasurer & Catalina Ruiz is our Secretary. We also have the great honor and expertise of Robin Deltuva! We help animals that are in dire and extreme situations such as: Running up and down high ways or living in sewer systems. We work in areas that are too dangerous for original TNR programs, such as beside highways, in the center of the city or in a building planed to be demolished. We go the extra mile that other people and groups wont. We have many years of experience with domestic, stray, feral, abused & abandoned pets. Also; small animals, farm animals and even experience wild animals and exotic animals. We are dedicated to bettering the lives of any animal that is unwanted or homeless. Through rescue, rehab, spay and neuter, and adoption; we strive to lessen the number of animals that suffer from abuse and neglect. We treat every and any animal as family from the moment it comes in to our care and forever more. Any Animal once rescued by us is welcome back any time later in the future no matter what. ASHA is NOT YET a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Animal Rescue Organization and does not receive funding from the county, state or federal government. We operate on the donations of our public (and private) supporters, donations and animal fees. All proceeds and donations go directly for the care and welfare of the animals. NO salaries are paid. Donations, fees or sales ARE tax deductible since we are in the process of becoming registered. Donate online today via PayPalor send a check! I began helping the homeless animals in my little corner of the world in about 2000; Just an animal here, an animal there. Then as word began to spread, by 2002 my family and I had begun to made a name for our selves; "the family that helps rescue animals." And as things happen, our weekend projects became our every day chores. We started rescuing more cats more frequently. Unfortunately there are more animals needing rescuing then there are families looking to adopt! Since we started in 2000 we have helped rescue and successfully re-homed over 650 animals! We care about the animals because it is not their fault they are in the situation they are in, its never their fault. And because we are in a position where we can create a positive impact on their life we feel we must do all that we can. Stray and feral kittens and young cats that are caught and rescued are typically scared, aggressive and un-socialized at first. Thus; many places and people would deem them "un-adoptable" and would euthanize them on the spot, or send them back to the awful situation they came from. We do not. We believe that with time, patience and love they are able to be rehabbed and eventually learn to trust humans. Some cats may take just days, others weeks or even months. Their options are limited if they do not shown that they can co-habitat with people; So we work hard to find the perfect forever family for each rescued animal. So we will do what we can, as often as we can to help the animals that are in need of us. Animal Safe Haven and Adoptions, Inc. works to help rescue as many stray, feral, abandoned, homeless and abused animals from our community, the cities and the counties; as possible. We work to end the suffering of overpopulation and unwanted animals, to effectively reduce the number of animals abandoned and abused by supporting spay/neuter programs. Provide temporary foster care for pets of people in a crisis who want their animals back. Catching, vetting & relocating feral colonies from dangerous areas in order to eventually end the suffering of all feral cats. We take in and adopt out cats, dogs, small animals and farm pets from all of Maryland. We provide food, shelter and vet care to the animals no matter what their age, breed or sex. With us they have no time limit to find the perfect forever family.

MAMAS is a non-profit 501(c)(3) whose mission is to help animals in and around the Bamberg County, SC area find good loving homes. We are considered a no kill shelter as no adoptable dog is euthanized. We are in an extremely poor county and are very underfunded and rely heavily on donations. We believe that all dogs deserve a chance and take all dogs - the injured and the sick, as long as they are not aggressive to people or other dogs, and they get, or can learn to get, some comfort and enjoyment from human attention. We focus on safety and happiness while they are in our care, with the hopes of simply being a transitional place until they are placed in a loving forever home. We focus on community education regarding responsible pet ownership whenever we get the chance.

Loudon County Friends of Animals is a group of caring dedicated volunteers who are working hard to rescue and place the animals that find their way into the public shelter system. The animal shelter in Loudon County, Tennessee does not have the resources, financial backing, space or manpower, to house all the stray and surrendered animals on an indefinite basis. Therefore, the clock starts ticking for these animals at the moment that they are deemed ready for adoption. Our primary mission is to work to insure that as many animals as possible are rescued through either direct adoption, or placement into the foster care system before the clock stops ticking and their time is up. In the meantime, we also support spay/neuter programs and trap and release effort (TNR) of feral cat colonies in order to reduce the number of animals being born which might eventually find their way into the shelter system. Please help us make a difference.

We are a nonprofit dog rescue in the Denver area entirely volunteer run. We pull dogs from high volume facilities from Colorado and the surrounding states. We are not breed specific and will take dogs into our program depending on the availability of our foster homes. All our dogs are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped prior to adoption. We are focused on finding great matches for the dogs we take in, as well as the people we serve.

Rottie Aid is a rescue that focuses on pulling dogs from local Colorado shelters and rehome them. We do take in owner relinquishes when we can as well. Most of the dogs we get are dogs with some issue or another so need experienced Rottweiler owners to apply. Our goal is to be a resource for the local shelters and Rottweiler owners to come to when needed. We are a VERY small rescue so we are limited on what we can do. Always looking for experienced Rottweiler owners to become a foster home for us.

SOFA was organized in December 2012 to combat pet overpopulation, abandonment, homelessness, abuse, and neglect in the Southeast Alaska region. Although based out of Ketchikan and Juneau, our mission extends to SE AK communities where limited or no resources are available. Our focus in the first few years is improving access to basic veterinary services (including spay/neuter and vaccination) in communities that do not have (regular) veterinarians. In addition, we rescue pets -- especially from outlying SE AK communities without an available shelter or rescue -- and place them into responsible adoptive homes. We also work to transport adoptable pets from communities with high euthanasia rates to communities with larger populations and/or adoption rates. Our long-term goal is to support local, grassroots efforts to make communities self-sustaining in terms of animal welfare.

I started this organization in Aug. 2013. I began in rescue transport and then because the sole volunteer at our shelter as rescue/transport coordinator. I decided to make my dream a reality by starting my own rescue because of the homeless pet problem in our country. We all have to do our part if we want to help this problem.

Southern States Rescued Rottweilers

Southern States Rescued Rottweilers, Inc. is dedicated to saving the lives of Rottweilers throughout our eleven states, but we could not fulfill that mission without the efforts of our hard working volunteers. Becoming a volunteer for SSRR is very easy. Simply fill out our Volunteer Application and submit it. Read on to find out more about HOW YOU CAN HELP US. FOSTER HOMES - We are currently in desperate need of foster homes as more and more Rotties find their way into shelters. Foster care consists of temporarily housing a Rottweiler while providing for its basic needs such as food, water, shelter. SSRR provides medical care of the Rottweilers in our program, and our foster homes' out of pocket expenses are limited. We prefer that our foster homes keep their foster dogs indoors during their stay. Doing so helps the Rottweiler adjust to the common household noises and smells it will experience in its new home, and it also helps to further determine the personality of the Rottweiler and what type of home situation that it would do best in. We encourage crating the foster dog when not being supervised. Foster families must take a Basic Dog Obedience course within 30 days of becoming a foster family. This will allow the foster dog to have good manners when they go to their "forever home" HOME CHECKS - We also need people to do home checks for us. A home visit is something that is required before an individual is allowed to adopt one of our Rottweilers. It consists of going to the home of a potential adopter, checking the dog’s proposed living conditions, asking questions outlined on our home visit form, and basically ensuring that the home is ready and properly equipped to handle the challenges and rewards of adding a new dog to their home. The Home Checks are the eyes and ears of SSRR. Performing the Home Check is what allows SSRR to place dogs in safe and secure homes. TRANSPORT - Transport help is of great demand in SSRR. Since we do not limit adopters by making them choose only from the dogs that are in their state of residence, we often need to arrange transport for an adopted Rottweiler to go from one state to another. Our volunteers will fill various 'legs' of the transport as they relay the dog across our coverage area from its current location to its new or adoptive home. Most legs range in size from 50 to 100 miles. Before you take a road trip with your family Check with SSRR to see if you can help transport a dog to their "Forever Home" PUBLIC EDUCATION - Since our purpose is not only to save Rottweilers but to educate those around us about this breed, we often reserve booth space at local dog events. We are always in need of volunteers to sit at these booths to pass out promotional material and to talk to passersby about Rottweiler rescue, the importance of spaying and neutering, and Rottweilers in general. ADMINISTRATIVE AREAS – There are other more administrative areas such as fundraising, advertising, secretarial services, correspondence, etc. where we often find ourselves lacking volunteers. If you can be of assistance in any of these areas we welcome you to volunteer to fill this niche. Anyone who truly loves this breed can and should be involved in rescue! It only takes a small portion of your time, and the rewards of doing so measure far beyond compare. If you feel this is the type of organization you'd like to be involved with and you live in one of the states we cover, please fill out our Volunteer Application. If you live in a state outside of our current coverage area, there are many other rescues that will welcome your help. http://www.rottrescue.org/national_list_rott_rescue.html SSRR is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Your donation is tax deductible. All donations are used to further our rescue and educational efforts. Donations may be made to: SSRR, Inc., c/o Linda Whigham SSRR Treasurer, PO Box 21133 White Hall, AR 71612
