Hearts & Hands Animal Rescue became a non-profit 502(c)(3) in 2010, but has been operating as a privately funded rescue for 10 years prior in this same location. After we lost the entire ranch in the 2007 CA Wildfires, we founded Hearts & Hands Animal Rescue as a non-profit so that we could continue to serve our communities. We not only rescue dogs, cats, horses and other domestic and farm pets, but we conserve the two endangered species of zebra and the Wild Mongolian Horse, the Przewalski's horse. Our animals in recovery give back by sharing their stories of recovery with our wounded warriors and children with needs. Once an animal has fully recovered, we then search for that perfect adoptive home for him/her where they will live out their lives forever with proper care, love and affection. Nancy Nunke, one of our co-founders has been rescuing animals for her lifetime. She has spent 40 years with all animals, but learned from the zebras how to finally communicate with animals using their own language, including behavior and vocalizations. With this knowledge turned skill, she is able to become best friends with her Friendship Training TM with any species. Everyone who steps through the gates of Hearts & Hands Animal Rescue talks about the "magic" there. Interspecies friendships are seen everywhere and humans are seen talking in full sentences to the animals, and the animals are seen responding in ways that are simply amazing.

The mission of Power of the Paw is to provide the animals in need with a safe haven through responsible rescue, transportation, foster and adoption and to educate the community about the importance of responsible pet ownership. Our main focus is those in kill shelters that are “less adoptable” due to age, color, or breed. Power of the Paw is a 501(c)3 non-profit rescue organization. WE got our start in 2011 as a Facebook page dedicated to share those animals in danger in our local kill shelters, to bring awareness to the community. Since then, we have helped transport over 1,000 animals from kill shelters to other no-kill rescues across the country, and have adopted out hundreds of animals in our own adoption program.

Virginia Donkey Rescue’s mission is to prevent donkey neglect, abuse, abandonment and to keep donkeys from ending up at auctions and kill pens in the State of Virginia. We do this by addressing the issues that cause neglect, abuse, and abandonment in the first place by providing current and future donkey owners and welfare advocates with education, resources and referrals. We offer a safe, economically viable (through donation write-offs) alternative to auctions and kill pens through our rescue program. We manage the organization in the leanest, most self-sufficient, self-supporting manner possible so we are not entirely dependent on donors, grants and outside funding. We are a small group of volunteers that rescues primarily from Hamilton Animal Services. We believe that all animals deserve a second chance and we often rehabilitate "difficult" cats. We take great pride in knowing we have done a good thing and helped save a life.

Compass Dog Rescue was established to pull dogs from high kill shelters in the south, that are in grave danger of being euthanized, and and bring them north into foster care, until their forever home is found.

We are a companion animal rescue group and sanctuary. Our animals come from many places. About 75% are adoptable - we find them homes. Others are feral (wild) cats who have had no positive contact with humans. They, too, have good lives at Thundering Paws. Our foster home network helps us care for many more animals than can stay at the sanctuary. Some animals arrive fearful and cannot be adopted until they learn what it's like to be touched by gentle hands. Others need time to recover from injuries or illness before they go to their new homes. While spay/neuter is the only permanent solution to the overpopulation of companion animals, Thundering Paws wants animals who are already born to have full, happy lives. That is why we are a no-kill facility. We are a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations to Thundering Paws are tax deductible. We rely on our volunteers and generous donors to keep us going.

My name is Rose A. Chmielewski and I am the founder of ELMAR. I started this organization in hopes of educating others in our community about the correct care of an animal and to open there eyes at the horrific things that happen in a shelter.

Grey Face Rescue & Retirement is a non-profit, foster-based senior dog rescue providing quality care and love when the norm becomes unfamiliar. We strive to raise awareness of the joys and challenges of living with aging dogs. While never forgetting where these dogs have come from, we want to emphasize the positive aspects of their life in retirement. We do not concern ourselves with the quantity of time that they have left, rather the quality of the life that we can provide them for that time.

The Pit Stop Rescue is an all-volunteer group of individuals dedicated to the rescue and prevention of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of these beautiful, loyal, and fun-loving dogs. We are a certified Non-Profit. The Pit Stop Rescue is a rescue group formed to be a voice and a safe haven for the very misunderstood, neglected and abused pitbull breed.

Survivor Tails Animal Rescue is a 501c3-pending, non-profit, all-volunteer organization that exists to rescue, rehome, and rehabilitate homeless, unwanted, abused, and neglected dogs and cats and place them in loving and responsible forever homes. More than 4 million cats and dogs die each year in animal shelters across the country due to overpopulation issues. That's why we're here. Our mission is twofold: to find these unwanted animals loving homes of their own and to work with communities and like-minded organizations to stop the issue of overpopulation from the top. We don't want to just put a bandage on the issue, we want to prevent animal homelessness from the get go.

We are dedicated to reducing animal homelessness and abuse by preventing the births of unwanted puppies and kittens. We operate a low-cost spay/neuter clinic for cats and provide vouchers for spaying and neutering dogs at other veterinary offices. We operate a comprehensive trap-neuter-return program for feral cats that includes trap loans, trapping assistance, spaying and neutering, and assistance with ongoing colony management. We provide foster care and adoptions for homeless and at-risk kittens and cats, and occasionally for dogs.

One Dog at a Time is an all volunteer Humane Rescue Group. We investigate animal abuse/neglect and work together with the authorities to make a change.

Town of Little Elm Animal Services is a municipal shelter for strays and adoptions. We provide a customer driven approach to animal services, maintaining a clean and inviting animal shelter. We believe in professional and ethical performance of our duties, and providing a safe and healthy environment for all animals in our care. We cater to cats and dogs but can provide accommodations for small animals (limited). Also provide live animals traps for free but there is a $60 refundable deposit. We are capable of providing education to the public on animal welfare.

Cindy is the one who started this organization about 2 years ago, I have been involved for about 5 months as their dog trainer and foster. Cindy has been giving me more responsibilities to prep me to take over. We help abandoned, abused and neglected pets to find safety through rescue, transport, foster & adoption. We do it to promote spay/neuter of pets and to help save as many pets from being euthanized and placed in a loving and forever home.

We are an all volunteer, donation funded group of Doberman lovers in Colorado, Wyoming and Utah. We take in dogs who find themselves in shelters and owner surrenders. We fully vet them to get them ready for a forever home. All dogs are acclimated to home life before adoption.
