Established in 2012, Southwest English Setter Rescue (SWESR) is incorporated in Texas and a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization. Our founding members all have many years of experience in other animal rescue groups, including English Setter rescue. We share a love for English Setters, an in-depth understanding of this wonderful breed. The majority of the dogs in our program are rescued after being abandoned or surrendered to shelters in the Southwestern USA. We also assist individuals who wish to give up their Setters for adoption. We welcome prospective adopters from the entire USA and Canada. All SWESR dogs live in foster homes where their energy level, temperament, training and other skills can be assessed prior to adoption. All our dogs receive a complete vet exam, are spayed or neutered, brought up-to-date on vaccinations, tested and treated for heartworms and parasites, given heartworm prevention and micro-chipped before adoption. Because our goal is to make the best possible placement for a dog, we work closely with prospective adopters to ensure a successful adoption in a well matched home. SWESR is wholly dependent on our adoption fees and private donations to meet our expenses. All donations go directly to the care of our rescue dogs. We need volunteers to support our efforts, especially foster homes, in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Nevada and California. Please consider making a donation or volunteering for SWESR. SWESR adopts to homes throughout the USA and Canada. Because we require pre-adoption screening (i.e. home visit), adopters outside of the Southwestern USA may need to be patient while we locate a volunteer to assist us with the home visit step of our application process. If an adopter is unable to drive to the foster location to pick up the dog being adopted, transports within the Southwest USA may be arranged at no cost through our network of volunteer drivers. Our volunteer network in many areas of TX and OK is strong, and we have limited transport routes established for CO, NM, UT, CA. Patience may be required while volunteer transport drivers are found to help transport an adopted dog to a new Southwest destination. Adopters may choose to transport a dog via commercial airlines as Air Cargo or paid ground transport services at their own expense. We will assist making those arrangements.

The Thrift Store contributes to the community in many different ways including fostering unwanted cats and kittens in our “Cat Rooms” until they find permanent homes. We operate strictly on memberships, donations from caring individuals, and revenue from our Thrift Store. Unlike the shelter, we are not supported by government funds. I have been with Cherokee for over 5 years, and I love it!! I love knowing when I go to bed at night that I have made a difference in many animals lives as well as the adopters life!

Animal Control for the city of Gentry Ar. We hold stray dogs for 5 days then find good homes for our dogs.

The Perth Amboy Animal Shelter is managed by the local police department and manages all Animal Control services for the town of Perth Amboy. Animal Control Officers facilitate daily operations of the shelter and manage active foster and adoption programs.

We started last June, so barely a year ago. Just obtained 501 status July 10. We specialize in puppies, such as "unwanted litters" and aid in fixing the owners pets. we also specialize in Moms and Pups from the pound, plus many others from the pound and owner surrender.

We are a small group of working professionals, who in our spare time take in rabbits in need from overwhelmed local shelters and foster them in our own homes. When people adopt from Friends of Rabbits, they truly save a life, enabling our foster volunteers to pull another rabbit in need from local animal control facilities. Our rabbits come from the top of the euthanasia list, often within hours of being put to sleep for lack of space, temperament, and physical imperfections. We do not discriminate between the shelter rabbits that we take in. Our organization is made up of volunteers who simply care about saving bunnies and sometimes other critters that need us. It is our mission to end the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable companion rabbits.

We are a group of strong, committed and loyal dog lovers who rescue dogs in honor of Shirley Burroughs. I'm an admin and foster volunteer.

The Milo Foundation rescues adoptable at-risk animals from high-kill shelters throughout California, gets them miscrochipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested and spay/neutered before adoption, matches them to homes best suited to provide lifetime care, rehabilitates those who need it, offers sanctuary at our 283 acre Sanctuary in Mendocino County, CA to those who are not placed, and educates the public about responsible pet guardianship, including spay/neuter.

We are like minded individuals that have been in rescue over 15 years. We wanted to start our own organization because we wanted the freedom to do more rescues and transport of animals out of kill shelters to give them a chance for a new life. We do it because we love to help animals. We named it after Little Ray a blind kitty that goes to schools to teach children how wonderful animals are and that you do not have to be perfect to be perfect....We also have Wonder another blind cat and Dobie a little chihauhau that goes to schools and teach children how to treat and love animals. We also teach how important spay/neutering is to everyone.

The Orland Town & Country Humane Society was founded in 1992 and is a NO KILL shelter providing care and comfort to our furry residents until they find their forever homes. We are one of the few NO KILL shelters in the State and the only one in the North State. Our goal is to find loving homes for all the lost, abandoned and otherwise unwanted animals that come through our door, and to provide education to the public concerning animal care and the importance of spaying and neutering.

My name is Laura and I am the president of CVRR. For 5 years I was the dog coordinator and board member for the Humane Society for Campbell County, where we had one of the largest and most respected foster-care-based rescues in the region. I have been a veterinary technician for 15 years. I have also been a trainer and behaviorist for 10+ years. My volunteers and I pulled away from HSCC because of a varying value system and different long-term goals, to create an organization based on a totally volunteer-run administration where every dollar goes to the animals' care. Educational outreach is also of paramount importance. Rescue has been a huge part of my life and my family's life, and we love having the opportunity to not only help animals get a well-deserved second chance but also play a part in completing a family with a new furry addition. Many volunteers in the rescue world I have found are very much animal people, but I enjoy the human aspect nearly as much as the opportunity to advocate for animals.

Muddy Paws Rescue is an organization dedicated to rescuing adoptable dogs from high kill shelters and placing as many as possible into wonderful forever homes. Support is provided to adopters throughout the application process and post-adoption to help facilitate the transition for both the dog and the adopter. Muddy Paws Rescue promotes a welcoming, warm community for potential adopters and volunteers through thorough communication and a supportive environment.

Good Karma Pet Rescue is a network of foster homes in South Florida dedicated to providing dogs and cats in need with the love and care they need and deserve. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. GK was started in early 2011 by Stacey Tollackson Chen, who decided that she could best provide for her foster animals by starting a rescue that aims for high quality care rather than high volume. We intend to stay as small as we need to be to ensure that every one of our foster animals is treated with the same care and respect we show our own furry family. GK is based in Fort Lauderdale and is supported by wonderful, dedicated foster parents throughout the South Florida area.

we are a small group of volunteers who work tirelessly to spay/neuter every cat that crosses our path, rehome adoptable cats/kittens, feed ferals and help the community to reduce the number of cats euthanized every day. We do it for the love of the helpless/neglected animals we see much too often

Safe House focuses on the most at risk cats in our area. We are a foster only rescue, with 8 licensed foster homes. We are passionate about cats, and do our best to prepare them for loving homes.

Founded 21 years ago to T/N/R and adopt out any cat that could be socialized. I have kept the group going all these years, because there are always more cats that need help.

We are a 501c3 volunteer based group that is assisting those county shelters working towards saving the homeless animals in their shelters.
