We are an all-volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing and finding great forever homes for bull breed dogs in need. Our organization formed in 1999. We do this because dogs need protectors and a voice in this world.

Weimaraner Rescue of the South (WRS) is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to saving Weimaraners in need in Alabama, Mississippi, and parts of Louisiana, Tennessee, and Georgia and placing them into loving forever homes. We have been saving Weimaraners throughout our footprint for more than 10 years. Our priority is to rescue Weimaraners who find themselves in animal controls and high-kill shelters in Alabama, Mississippi, and parts of Tennessee, Louisiana, and Georgia. We also offer "courtesy posts" for owners who feel they can no longer provide a home for their Weimaraner. All Weimaraners in our care are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and treated for any medical issues they might have including but not limited to heartworm disease, orthopedic concerns, and vision issues. Our efforts are funded by adoption fees and donations from "Weim-loving" people like you.

Our small rescue group has been in operation since 1999. We are a core group of volunteers who spend our available (most of us have full time jobs) rescuing animals and finding good permanent homes for them. We have 4 core foster homes and a handful of others who foster occasionally or in special situations. Most of our rescues are from outdoor situations, but when we have room, we rescue from some high-kill shelters. All of our volunteers do this because of our dream of one day becoming a real "no-kill" society.

Louisiana Lifeline for K-9's is dedicated to saving the life's of unwanted dogs from the pound. It's a small rescue organization working with foster homes. LLFK promotes spay/neuter, educates responsible dog/animal ownership including vet care, save transport, animal wellness, ect.

We have been involved in animal rescue since 1996. We save approximately 1000 cats per year, many from high kill shelters.

Canine CellMates began in June 2013 as a dedicated jail dog program in cooperation with the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta, GA. Canine CellMates maintains a continuing partnership with the Fulton County Animal Services (FCAS), the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office and the Fulton County Jail, allowing us the opportunity to save dogs from the shelter by vetting them, training them and ultimately transforming them into adoptable dogs, all while benefiting the inmates and the greater community. Our Mission: Our mission is to provide a better life for both the inmates in the Fulton County Jail and rescued shelter dogs from FCAS. During an intensive 16 week course consisting of education, training and overall care for the dogs, we hope to positively change both the dogs and the inmates. During the 16 week program, an inmate is able to train two dogs, one after the other. At the end of the training course, our goal is for the dogs to pass the Canine Good Citizen test and graduate from our program into a wonderful, forever home. We also aim to provide viable job skills for the inmates and create a new overall lease on life for both the dogs and the inmates. What We Do: All of the dogs selected for our program have undergone extensive temperament testing with our dedicated Behavior Assessment team. Upon arrival at their temporary home in the dormitory style setting within Fulton County Jail, each dog is assigned a primary inmate handler, and on occasion, a secondary handler. This not only allows for more inmates to benefit from the program, it also provides continuity for the dog, should one of the handlers leave the program. Certified dog trainers and training assistants conduct the training sessions throughout the 16 week course, using positive training methods to teach the inmates how to train and care for the dogs. Outside of the work in the classroom, the inmates spend time during the day with their dog, bonding and reinforcing the skills learned in class. We also have a strong educational component to our program — we bring speakers in to talk about issues such as Breed Specific Legislation, Tethering - the dangers and the alternatives, resources like Ahimsa House, and other professionals both inside and outside of the animal rescue community. A common theme is One Person Can Make a Difference. We truly believe that, “When you know better, you do better.” Why It Matters: In simple terms, this program changes lives – both canine and human, by offering them a second chance at life. Both groups have faced isolation and rejection by the outside world, but when they come together, they often give each other a new found sense of hope, as they become the rescuer for one another. The benefits to the inmate handlers are many, including: learning responsibility by caring for a living being, accountability in working towards a goal, experiencing the joy of unconditional love, gaining confidence in working toward a positive outcome and skills that will allow them to become law abiding, productive members of society. The incidence of violent outbursts in prison and jail facilities where jail dog programs operate has shown a dramatic decrease, sometimes as much as 50%. Recidivism rates have also shown drastic improvements. The Atlanta metro area has had one of the highest recidivism rates in the country, around 70% within the first two years after release. With programs like this in place, it is likely that the Atlanta metro area will begin to show a reduction in this recidivism rate. At FCAS, 30 to 40 animals in need are added each day to the already overcrowded shelter population. Unfortunately, due to a lack of space, many healthy, adoptable dogs are euthanized. At Canine CellMates, we work in conjunction with FCAS to lower this alarming statistic by providing community outreach, education and forever homes for the Canine CellMate dogs.

"A Voice for the Voiceless" An 501(c)3 animal rescue organization in the Southeast area of the USA; advocating for those who do not have a voice. Our mission: To prevent cruelty to, to relieve the suffering of and provide humane treatment for animals. To determine, then eliminate, the causes of animal suffering through various means, including education and community assistance programs. To advocate for pet population control and to assist the community to gain access to spay/neuter services. To educate the community on animal issues, including health, maintenance, legislation, etc. To develop a region wide network of integrated animal services.

We are a rescue for feral and domestic cats. We are in the progress of incorporating and then we will file as a non-profit 501(c)3. Our mission is two-fold. First, our aim is to help rescue cats "at risk" from our local animal control. Pregnant moms and their babies are quick to be etuhnanized at animal control, so with the help of foster homes, we will work to rescue pregnant moms and other "at risk" cats and kittens. Second, we aim to help the ferals in our community by aiding in Trap Neuter Return (TNR) efforts and making sure that no feral goes without. Our Adoption Process... We require an application and vet check before adoption. Adopters are required to sign a contract upon adoption agreeing to have the cat spayed/neutered by a certain date, as well as to never declaw or allow the cat to go outside. Adoption fee for each cat is the cost of any vet appointments the cat has needed while at the rescue.

Mission Statement: To practice and promote responsible pet ownership through education and outreach in the community Rockbridge Animal Alliance is an all-volunteer organization founded in 2014. Our goal is to work with the public and support other animal related organization to improve the lives of Rockbridge area pets and homeless dogs and cats. We are established to aid in community outreach, humane education and community assistance programs, with an emphasis on spaying and neutering.

Cherished Pets Animal Rescue (CPAR) is a 501c Non profit rescue organization.We are highly dedicated to rescuing primarily small and exotic pets,but also rescue cats & dogs. Our goal is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find forever homes for the pets that always seem to get overlooked. We strive to provide them with healthy, loving homes that understand their individual special needs. Our team of directors and fosters have experience with wildlife, exotics, and even bottle babies. Gimme Forever Shelter is a 501(c)3 orgainzation providing shelter for at-risk and orphaned dogs. We provide all of the necessary services and tools to ensure a safe and successful adoption of our pets into forever homes. We love what we do because we see the joy between pet parents and pets when adoption is a successful and enjoyable process.

I Have A Dream Rescue is an organization dedicated to public education of the breed, spay/neuter advocacy and helping death row pit bulls make it OUT of the shelter and INTO responsible families.

Trenton Cats is an 501c3 non-profit all volunteer group dedicated to pursuing humane choices for cats living in Trenton since 2011. We welcome all offers of help or funding in order to continue our vital work in protecting and improving the lives of cats living in Trenton.

Our rescue's mission is to save the lives of as many abandoned, injured, neglected and/or otherwise unwanted cats and kittens we possibly can. All cats and kittens are fully vetted, fed healthy diets and accommodated in a 100% foster care environment until they each find loving forever homes. We additionally help with the feral cat population through our TNR (trap, neuter, return) program and the rescue and rehabilitation of feral born kittens. Thus, allowing kittens to be adopted into loving families and ending a vicious cycle

We are a large breed rescue organization that specializes in boxers and rotties. We pull animals our of local shelters to prevent them from being euthanize. We assist with owners who which to surrender their dogs and re-homing them into a safe and loving home. With all dogs we vet them, rehabilitate them and re-home then into safe forever homes.

We have been rescuing and placing cats and kittens in loving homes for more than 20 years.
