TIGR, Texas Italian Greyhound Rescue INC is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit group incorporated within the State of Texas, operating in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to finding loving forever homes for Italian Greyhounds and Whippets. Mission Statement Educate the public about the desirability of adopting Italian Greyhounds as companions and family pets in the home. Facilitate placing Italian Greyhounds in loving, responsible, forever homes. Provide continuing educational support to the Italian Greyhound family after placement to ensure a successful adoption. Support, welcome, and encourage an active, organized volunteer base of Italian Greyhound lovers who share the passion and vision of finding loving, responsible, forever homes for Italian Greyhounds to live out their natural lives. Stress the importance of spay and neuter as a means of controlling the number of unwanted animals. Connect with other groups and people that assist and adopt Italian Greyhounds to promote adoption worldwide. The Dexter Foundation The Dexter Foundation is a non profit organization dedicated to helping shelter dogs have a second chance at life. We honor a little Boston Terrier named Dexter who was given a second chance. The Dexter Foundation is dedicated to helping shelter dogs and other rescue organizations who adopt misunderstood dogs. We assist owners needing to find homes for their dogs by posting their dogs, screening applicants, and finding them new loving forever homes. We work cooperatively with other rescues and help fund the rescue and care of shelter dogs. We provide a safe haven for abandoned dogs that are passed over. In these difficult economic times, many owners are forced to surrender or abandon their dogs who may need only temporary medical attention. The Dexter Foundation, with your assistance, is able to help save the lives of these otherwise happy, healthy dogs. Little Dexter sat at the San Diego shelter, abandoned by the only person he knew. His owner was no longer able to care for him and turned him over to someone he trusted to care and find a home for him. Instead, the person called animal control on him. Dexter was so frightened, he bit the animal control officer and was scheduled to be euthanized as he was then deemed “aggressive” by the shelter, and would not be adopted to the public. Thankfully, he was rescued by a group willing to take on dogs with behavioral problems and understood that a dog’s behavior in a shelter is not indicative of a dog’s true behavior. Dexter had spent the first few years of his life knowing only one person, never having been taken outside to meet other dogs or new people. When that owner could no longer care for him, he was turned out into an unknown world. After two failed placements while he was learning how to play with other dogs and people, he was sent to live with the President of the rescue group who fell in love with him and his lively personality. Dexter now lives with two rescued brothers, Blue and Scout, and a rescued sister named Annabelle. All were adopted from shelters throughout Southern California. Annabelle and Scout both would have been euthanized if not adopted by rescue due to the fear they exhibited with new people. They have all learned to how to be part of a family and made many new friends. They provide their new family with lots of love. Dexter, and all dogs like him, are grateful to the many rescue groups who have given them a second chance. The Dexter Foundation asks for your support so that we can provide funding and support to the dogs and rescue groups willing to give the misunderstood dogs a second chance.

We rescue pomeranian breed dogs from shelters and puppymills and take owner turn in if space is available. I have been doing pom rescue for 20 years and joined with the Dallas group to open a Houston group 5 years ago

My name is Julia Souders, and after spending 6 months as a volunteer in my local shelter, I decided I wanted to help animals even more. I started an animal rescue group. I realized quickly that I needed to provide the low income people in my community a way to get their animals fixed to lessen the amount of animals going down in the shelter that I was unable to pull. I found funding for both a low income spay/neuter program in which we offer the procedure for $20 and a TNR program for the feral cats in our community. My rescue group works very closely with the local shelter to get animals out and into furever homes.

Twenty Paws Rescue founders, Linda and Rachel, share one common objective and passion. Every day they battle an ongoing epidemic plaguing our streets, the abundance of forgotten homeless, abused, and surrendered animals. Twenty Paws, a small rescue, is only able to bring their ambitious dreams to fruition with the help of an exceptional and dedicated team of volunteers, fosters, donors, and adopters. Tirelessly, the Twenty Paws team utilizes their boundless devotion to provide all Twenty Paws animals with warm and loving care until they find a forever home, including foster and veterinary care. Even though the Twenty Paws focuses primarily on the “bully” breeds, they are not a breed specific rescue. Twenty Paws provides refuge and unconditional love to dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, sex, and temperament. Linda and Rachel strive to provide all Twenty Paws animals and families with the ideal match and safest environment possible. Furthermore, they have the strength inside to fight every minute. Until every shelter cage is empty, Twenty Paws will continue to be their voice. Twenty Paws Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization. There are three co-founders who collectively have over 50 years of animal rescue experience. We have been working with some of the cocker spaniel rescues in the states around Pennsylvania for years, however we feel that having a cocker spaniel rescue that is located in and devoted to cocker spaniels/mixes in Pennsylvania would be able to save even more of them.

The Animal Project is a nonprofit rescue group in New York City in hopes of bettering the lives of all animals. We work primarily with cats, both with finding cats with lost homes and those who are feral and need care. Otherwise we use our good natures to rescue any animals in need and try to find them placement in homes, rescue farms, or otherwise.

HART's mission is to rescue domestic animals in need and place them into good permanent homes, and to eliminate surplus animals from being born through active spay/neuter programs. Our philosophy is to ensure quality of life to all living creatures, both feral and domestic.

We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to finding homes for pets in rural Oklahoma animal shelters through adoption events and fundraisers. We're focused on the Newcastle animal shelter since that's where we're based, but we also pull from other rural shelters when we can. We have adoption events and fundraisers year round. Alabama Parrot Rescue is a private, non-commercial organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of domesticated parrots. We strive to correct behavioral issues of birds that may not possess the proper socialization skills, so that they can live out their lives as an active member of a loving family. As parrot owners for many years, it became obvious to us that there was a need for a rescue service that simply did not exist in this area, therefore we started one. With the help of local media, APR has become the primary point of contact for all bird related rescue and adoption cases.

Gram Rescue Ranch's goal is to "Take a bite out of shelters, one dog at a time!" We believe that all animals have the right to live in a loving home, and we strive to find homes for those animals that have been abused, abandoned or otherwise needing a new home.

We are a small but dedicated group of experienced volunteers. Together, we have over 15 years combined experience with our rescue efforts for "pit bull" dogs. Our hope is that one day the misaligned "pit bull" will be treated as equals among every other breed of dog.

We are a group of people who intake dogs/boxers from either shelters, or from individuals that are looking to get rid of their dogs. We keep the dogs in our rescue for a minimum of a few weeks to learn more about the dog, and make sure they are current on all vaccines, and get to know their temperaments/character better, so we can fit them to the right home.
