DPS was started 30 plus years ago by Jeannie Cornelius. At one time she had 49 dogs in her care. Through a mutual friend I become involved and took on the President role when we moved here two years ago. We have both been life long animal lovers and feel a soul connection to them all. I worked with the Austin Humane Society as a dog volunteer (I'm allergic to cats but have 3) prior to moving.

Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary (FLPS) is one of only two senior animal rescues in Maricopa County, Arizona. Formed in 2012 as a non-profit 501[c][3] organization, the focus of FLPS is to promote the rescue, adoption, and well-being of senior animals. FLPS also provides public education regarding the value of adopting a senior pet. In the Fall of 2013, FLPS will be able serve a public need by offering housing to a limited number of senior pets. This safe haven, will take the burden of temporary care and housing of senior animals off of local shelters. Inevitably, local shelters resort to euthanizing these abandoned, senior animals at an alarming rate. According to a 2012 statistics report, Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) euthanizes one animal every eight minutes it is open to the public. Euthanasia for senior residents is the primary option for most local shelters because they tend to focus their efforts on a high adoption model that includes younger “more adoptable” animals. FLPS will work with local shelters and rescues to identify the senior animals in need and provide a streamlined process for interested men, women and families who wish to adopt.

PJ's Place is a foster based organization aimed at reducing the number of dogs in shelters and helping to educate the public about domestic pets, obedience, spay/neuter programs etc to keep these dogs in happy and healthy homes and out of shelters. We are starting a neighborhood/area feeding program as well aimed at helping those in need to keep their animals feed during rough times. We have a goal to also create a spay/neuter program that would offer these services for free or very reduced cost to eliminate unwanted litters.

We aim to rescue, rehab and rehome otherwise discared mill and high kill shelter dogs with an affinity for Italian Greyhounds and other small breeds. Our efforts include adoption programs as well as advocacy events to raise awareness of the truth behind mill dogs. We are trying to be the voice for the voiceless and doing our best, saving one dog at a time. Saving one dog won't change the world, but it will change the world for that one dog.

We are a small organization that works in Albertville MN to help with the overpopulation of animals in our area and also help with overcrowding down in the Southern States. All of our animals we have available for adoption come from our local area or down south. They have been fully behavior tested and vaccinated/altered before finding their forever homes!

Purr-Fect Match Animal Rescue, Inc.

P.O. Box 44
WI

PFM has been formed by three people with over 30 years of rescue experience between them. We feel that there is a "hole" in current rescue/shelter efforts and we hope to be able to help fill that hole. One aim is to help people understand their animals by education of animal behaviors. Hopefully, that will reduce the number of animals being brought in to "shelters" in our area. We also intend to provide an online service where animals (who have been vetted by us) can be seen by potential adopters, whom we will vet the same way we do our own. Additionally, there are animals we come into contact with who need immediate rescuing. We are a foster-based organization (limited), and will intake the animal(s) as soon as a foster home has room. We follow strict protocol for vaccinations (distemper and rabies), testing (FeLV/FIV, heartworm, etc.), preventative (heartworm), spay/neuter, and microchips. All of the animals available for adoption through our foster homes is up to date on all vaccinations and tests. We spay/neuter our animals between 4 and 6 months if young, and as soon as we intake them if older. All of the members of PFM have previous fostering experience. We do this because, as our mission states, "Purr-Fect Match Animal Rescue is dedicated to the sanctity of all living things and their inherent right to a happy, healthy, and humane life." We hope to accomplish this one animal and one forever home at a time.

Medical Animals In Need

P.O. Box 46365
Phoenix
AZ
85063
The M.A.I.N. Team is an Arizona based, all volunteer group focused on identifying, transporting, aiding and promoting animals from Arizona shelters who need immediate and sometimes costly medical attention the shelters are unable to provide. We are a group of volunteers that saw a need in our county’s shelter system and worked together to address and correct it. Each day, Maricopa County’s animal shelters take in around 150 stray or unwanted dogs, meaning kennels originally designed for one animal are typically packed with four or more. MCACC is the nation’s second largest shelter, and sadly any available space must be given to healthy adoptable animals. M.A.I.N. is here for the injured and sick that stand no chance at all of being rescued in these shelters. We have developed close working relationships with both the east and west locations and staff regularly call to alert us to any particular animals that needs our help. We are available to these shelters and to these dogs 24/7 – and in 2012, more than 150 were saved from euthanasia as a result.

We are a small Boxer rescue organization that was branched off of another organization a. We are an approved 501c3. Due to Boxer popularity, we are experiencing large amount of Boxers being surrendered or dumped in streets and shelters. Most of these Boxers are wonderful dogs and they deserve great home. However, most of the dogs are untrained and require the right type of homes. Some are in need of medical care due to neglect. We work hard to save them and find them the right home. Some of our adopters are new to the breed or have a different expectation for the dogs. We work with the adopters and set their expectation properly for a rescue dogs and provide support to them to ensure the adoptions are successful.
