We are a family run foster based non profit animal organization. We had previously been fostering a large amount of animals with another MN rescue and realized through research that the non-profit was unfortunately not treating their animals as well as promised and treated their fosters and adopters even worse. They were actually profiting (quite a bit) off of the rescue. We decided as a family that we could run a rescue the way it should be run and be completely animal centered :)

Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary is a Forever Foster Home based Sanctuary in beautiful Mount Juliet, Tennessee, generally housing approximately 100 senior dogs at the Sanctuary and many others in temporary and Forever Foster Homes. While providing lifetime homes for senior dogs, OFSDS strives to raise awareness of the joys and challenges of living with older dogs. We are a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization. Senior dogs, especially those with medical problems or disabilities, face a much greater chance of euthanasia at shelters than younger dogs because it is difficult to find adopters for them due to their shorter additional life expectancy and unknown veterinary costs. Most of these wonderful senior dogs will be able to live happily with a good quality of life if given a chance. They make wonderful companions because they are mature, calm and loving. It is more difficult for them to settle in, and once they do, it is difficult for them to move again. For this reason we strive to find them forever foster homes where they can live out their retirement years as a loved family member. OUR MISSION: To provide a loving home, good food, high quality vet care, compassion and comfort to senior dogs for the remainder of their lives. To build a Forever Foster Home network to enable us to place more senior dogs in loving, home settings for the duration of their lives. To provide education on the joys and challenges of caring for aging dogs. To work with other dog rescue groups to promote the adoption of senior dogs.

We are a local group of volunteers that welcome kittens into our homes and care for them until they can find their furever homes. We service our local community and provide outreach whenever possible.

Oconee County Humane Society, Inc. is dedicated to improving the lives or companion animals in our community by reducing overpopulation with our spay/neuter programs. Assuring high standards of care for sheltered animals. Finding permanent, compasionate homes for animals in our care. Our hope is to reduce euthansia at Oconee County Animal Shelter.

We are a foster based rescue group with no single shelter or space warehousing dogs. We are managed by a Board of Directors with representatives from all three of our regions, Dallas Ft. Worth, Midwest and Southeast Chihuahua Rescue & Transport (CRT) is a foster-based rescue group that places Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes in approved homes. Our purpose is to extend public education and awareness regarding overpopulation, abuse, neglect, importance of spaying/neutering, and the tragic, high rates of Chihuahua abandonment and shelter euthanasia. We have placed thousands of Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes in approved homes since 1996. CRT requires an application, vet check, reference check and home visit for each adopter.

Killer Kitties Rescue we pull from Stanly County NC Shelter adoptable cats because they have high euthanasia rate.

21 Year old Sheltie Rescue Organization. We rescue Shelties and some Sheltie Mix Dogs. We maintain a “Family Relationship” with our Shelties if possible after placement. We commit to the Dog upon intake FOR LIFE, and promise the Dog that they will never go hungry, sleep outside in the weather, or want for proper Medical Vet Care. We do this because of the Love of the Breed and the heartache we have experienced in Lost Sheltie situations.

We are a group of animal lovers who want to help the homeless population in Iowa. The board of Directors is made up of me, Desiree Springman, Jon Biegen, Lyndee Schroeder and Cathy Buenzow. We do this because we genuinely care about helping animals find forever homes, and educating the public in regards to being able to keep and care for their animals already in the home.

We are a foster based rescue that is completely volunteer run. We accomplish approximately 20 adoptions each year, perform monthly educational and fundraising events for the public such as free microchipping, rattlesnake avoidance training, coyote awareness, etc. We have a partnership with Chewy.com that allows us to distribute an entire semi trailer full of pet food and supplies to dozens are area animal rescues.

A HOPE of Santa Rosa County FL, Inc. came about in a very organic way. For quite some time now, several individuals have been working to make changes for the animals in our county. We care very deeply and are extremely concerned about our community cats and dogs. We are heartsick over the influx of animals coming into our local shelter, resulting in the highest euthanasia rate in our area. The fault does not lie with the shelter, however, but with our very own friends, families, and neighbors. ​ We are devastated by the cats and dogs being abandoned in our community and the countless unaltered animals roaming our streets, propagating an already suffocating animal population. So...we decided to do something about it. We are starting out as a very small group – but we have BIG dreams. As we gain momentum and support, we aim to focus on the health of our community animals, providing low cost spay and neuter options. We will be providing resources for pet owners in need, enabling them to provide for their cats and dogs in the ways they have always wanted to. We are going to educate the community at large, teaching responsible pet ownership to go along with the resources that will be provided. In sum, we will provide A HOPE for the animals and animal-loving residents of Santa Rosa County. Please open your heart to our cause and join us in whatever capacity you are able. The Bitty Kitty Brigade is a foster-based rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities, MN and surrounding areas. Our mission is to provide care for orphaned neonatal kittens and to partner with animal rescue organizations and impound facilities to improve survival rates within the neonatal kitten population. The Bitty Kitty Brigade provides care for kittens ages 0-6 weeks who are without mothers and not yet eating on their own. We are a no-kill organization. All kittens are cared for in foster homes and receive high-quality nutrition and appropriate medical care. When possible, kittens are transferred to partner rescues who share our values – that cats should not be declawed and should be kept indoors-only. Cats kept in our care until adoption age (12 weeks) are spayed or neutered and receive all age-appropriate vaccinations. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are funded exclusively through donations and grants and are entirely volunteer run. We receive kittens from local impounds, area rescues and rescuers and other members of the community.

The Ocean County Health Department operates two animal facilities. The Ocean County Animal Facilities provide temporary housing for dogs and cats and maintain a 24-hour receiving service for stray animals that are brought in by Municipal Animal Control Officers. Features of the shelters include indoor/outdoor dog runs, cat rooms, isolation areas and surgical facilities. Cats and dogs up for adoption are all spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, and receive a general health exam by the veterinarian.

TLCR’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome Chinese Cresteds that have found themselves in less than desirable situations. We also strive to educate the community on the unnecessary euthanization of dogs of all breeds due to overpopulated shelters. TLCR provides owners and breeders of Chinese Cresteds an alternative to turning dogs into a shelter. We will do everything in our power to help!

Monroe County Animal Services We serve the stray, abandoned and surrendered dogs of the entire county.

Until They're Home focuses offers shelter support, including foster services, behavioral services (training animals and humans) and tech support. We also offer donation-based services for those who don't want to relinquish their animal to a shelter, but don't have the resources or knowledge to keep them. We do it because we love it. :)
