Smidget Rescue specializes in finding homes for dogs under 25 pounds. You know, "Super Midgets!" Occasionally, we have larger dogs available. Smidget Rescue is a small organization with one founder and several volunteers. Since we are a home, foster based rescue, we do not have a facility and therefore are not open to the public. Additionally, we do take Sundays and Mondays off, if we don't have an adoption event scheduled. Our dogs come from high kill shelters in California, Eastern Washington and locally. We also take in owner surrenders and sometimes have puppies that are born at the rescue to momma dogs pulled pregnant from the shelter. They are the homeless and forgotten dogs. Great dogs with fabulous personalities, but they would never have a chance at a home otherwise. We are overjoyed to bring them to Smidget Rescue to find their forever families! If you would like to adopt a new friend, please contact us at smidgetrescue@hotmail.com to request an adoption application and start the process! Come and join the Smidget Rescue family and see how adopting a small dog will change your life forever! Once you go small, you never go back!

We are Tammi Smith and Amber Hughes Stephens. We have both been involved in rescuing animals for many years as part of other rescues and also on our own. We take in pets that are homeless for whatever reason, treat them medically, and find forever homes for them so they are never homeless again. We rescue because we feel they need us to help them.

Rabbit Rescue of MN is different than many other rescues as we take in sick, abused, neglected, abandoned and unwanted domestic rabbits from the public, other rescues and animal control. We fundraise in order to provide proper vetting and then focus on rehabilitation to ready our rabbits for their forever homes. All of our rescue rabbits are cared for in private foster homes where they are properly housed and receive love and socialization. Prior to adoption we screen our applicants thoroughly utilizing background checks and home visits. Included in our mission is education about proper housing, diet and medical care for first time rabbit families. Our rescue rabbits are all spayed, neutered and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are an all-volunteer, nonprofit cat rescue. We are aware that there are a large amount of stray and abandoned cats out in our service area and we do whatever we can to help them, either through trap-neuter-return-maintain (after spaying/neutering the cat, we have volunteers feed her every day and provide a shelter), or through foster care and adoption. We also try to provide information about the importance of spay/neuter as well as financial & behavioral support for people to help them keep their cats.

Stray Love Foundation, Inc.

AL
36555
The Stray Love Foundation began formally advocating for the local animal community in 2010 and, as a foster based animal rescue group has since placed over 1,400 animals in stable, safe and loving homes locally and throughout the country. The Stray Love Foundation has four primary missions: (1) To assist stray, injured and abandoned animals through vet care, fostering, and adoption; (2) TNR projects (trap, neuter, return) with the assistance of the Foley Police Department; (3) To facilitate and support the elderly and indigent with pet care, including vet costs, spay/neuter, and re-homing as necessary (also known as our Big Love Projects); and (4) To provide educational outreach programs to children and local groups to build awareness of the importance of companion animals as well as the importance of kind and compassionate treatment towards all animals. Our founder had always rescued on her own for decades but after moving to the Gulf Coast and the BP Oil spill occurred, the need for animal rescue increased exponentially. Being a business woman, our founder reached out to some of her peers to form a board and began formally operating as the Stray Love Foundation in April of 2010.
