Paws for Life pulls dogs from high-kill shelters. Often, most likely the ones who will be euthanized. We do this because our trainers can dedicate all of their time to their rehabilitation. By lowering euthanasia rates and preparing dogs for service-jobs, PFL is proving that everyone deserves a second chance.

Local Whiskers, Inc. was established in March 2019 to rescue, treat, and find forever homes for at-risk cats found outside in York County and surrounding areas. We are a foster-based rescue with loving and knowledgable cat ladies spread throughout the county answering the call to help local kitties and bring them into our homes until they are adopted into their purrfect family! We are firmly committed to spaying or neutering all pets, and we assist in TNR projects for community cats. We are deeply grateful for community support, including donations, adoptions, and fostering!

New Hope Rescue, Inc. is an organization set up to assist in animal rescue. We are located in Alabama. NHR does not house animals and we do not have a shelter. The goal of New Hope Rescue, Inc. is to reduce euthanasia by offering assistance with spaying and neutering services, provide microchip services, and increase awareness of the unwanted pet population. The organization will function through donations solicited from various local individuals and businesses. Funds will be used solely for the care of the animals. New Hope Rescue wants to focus on raising money by hosting fundraising events such as: raffles, yard sales, bingo nights, etc. We want to be able to help rescues that house animals to pay for their food, medical needs, transport fees, and any other need they might have. We want to help save dogs from high kill shelters.

Another organization, Operation Fancy Free, had been the sole organization benefiting cats in our county since 2013. Operation Fancy Free's primary mission was TNR, but they also had a rescue/foster/adopt program along with it. The decision was made in July of this year (2018) to close OFF's foster program and for the organization to refocus solely on TNR. Several OFF volunteers, including myself, were primarily involved with OFF's rescue/foster/adopt program and wanted to continue to provide a rescue/foster/adopt program for cats in our county. Although we know TNR is important, we have a passion for helping existing cats that have been the victims of abandonment, neglect, and abuse find a better life. As a result, we split from OFF, recruited a few friends, and founded our own organization to focus on that aspect of feline welfare in our county.

In September 2010 we launched the very first Antelope Valley social media platform in order to assist families reunite with their missing pets. We provided this volunteer based program in order to expedite the process of trying to locate a missing pet, and to report pets that were found. Our goal at the time was to minimize the shelter intakes, and reunite families without stepping foot in the already crowded facilities. Through our community cross-information process we found a common thread....support, hope, love, passion and concern for not only our local pets, but those world wide. As part of our mission, this network has also nurtured the minds of individuals, it has come to the aid of those who felt hopeless, disappointed, and without means to care for their loved ones. Fast forward 3 years and the mission became much deeper; at the time we discovered a problem most of us were not aware of ...."a pet crisis in the Antelope Valley". Since then, we have rescued animals in remote areas, and secured homes for abandoned and disposed pets while attempting to find their families. We have raised money for medical treatment, spay/neuter, microchipping, vaccinations, and so much more. We are also proud to say that up until recently, we did this as private-independent rescuers. We were blessed by the amount of helping hands willing to assist our beautiful pets in transition and in turn restoring our faith in humanity. As we speak we are working together with our local agencies and because of this union, our euthanasia rate has slowly declined...and still declining. Our most important endeavor to date,is to educate the community about proper pet care, how to re-home a pet responsibly, reduce the abandonment rate ,and to provide aid to those in need. Throughout this journey,we have witnessed miracles, divine interventions, and accomplished what seemed to be impossible. It is because of this network, many have branched out to become independent rescuers, and start their own rescue groups. Conflicted by the hope that we would form an everlasting unsurpassed union, although divided, we feel proud and relieved that more pets are being helped. Behind it all we continue to smile knowing there are more helping hands coming to the aid of this unseen crisis we continue to battle. Everyone can have a successful rescue, all it takes is an open heart, and willingness to make it happen. If I/we did it, so can you! Our Motto is “THE MORE EYES,THE MORE HANDS,THE MORE HEARTS TOGETHER WE CAN"...and we are doing just that! God Bless the Rescuers!

Our mission to help cats in shelters, homeless, and/or in bad situations in Southern California and beyond. We take pride in finding the perfect match for both adopted and new family member. We do not have a facility yet and rely on great foster homes to take in cats that are rescued until a forever home is found.

Justice for Samson Animal Rescue

I am a 53 year old woman who has rescued animals all of my life. As a child i constantly picked up strays to re-home. This continued into my adult life. I rescued my first dog from a fight ring and drug house in 2013. Samson was the first dog i owned in 14 years. He was also the best dog I ever owned. Samson was a mastiff/shar-pei mix. His brother Memphis came along in a couple of months. In 2016 Samson was poisoned. I spent every day and over 2,000 dollars trying to save him. By the time we figured out what was going on. It was too late. I began to educate myself on dog poisoning and breed selection. Samson never hurt anyone. This led me to the world of animal rescues. Though I know i will never have Samson back on earth. If I can save one dog and educate people about breed selection and dog poisoning. Then I feel as if Samson would be proud.

Dane Haven, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization that has been formed by volunteers whose love for the Great Dane breed has lead them to assist Danes that have been neglected, abused, abandoned or owner-surrendered. This volunteer group has owned and worked with Great Danes on an individual level for a number of years, as well as having worked with other rescues. Danes that come into our rescue are fostered in the volunteers’ homes until a permanent family comes along. Our funding comes exclusively from donations, fundraising activities, and adoption fees. All funds are used to provide medical treatment, spaying/neutering, training, as well as food and supplies for the Danes that come into our rescue. The top priority of Dane Haven, Inc. is to better the lives of these Great Danes and to find loving, caring families that will provide them with forever homes. We believe that we can make a difference in the lives of Danes that otherwise would never have a chance.

We are a group of dedicated animal lovers who want to make a difference in the lives of animals and humans. Our vision is to sustain a shelter and foster based rescue by taking in pregnant animals in need whose adoption fees will support the most vulnerable of animals in their journey to their forever home. While our focus is senior animals in need as they are often over-looked and undervalued as a whole, our business model will allow us to serve many younger animals in need of finding loving forever homes - we never leave a family member behind; if we take a pregnant mother - we take dad too. Senior, abused, stray and abandoned animals are among the most vulnerable of animals and are often times in need of immediate medical attention, we will provide medical care to ensure they have the opportunity to live their best life. In many cultures around the world younger generations consider it an honor to "take-care" of the elderly generation in their twilight years - and so it is at Generations Ranch, Rescue & Sanctuary. We value the wisdom of the older generation and want to serve and find ways to include them in everything we do. We will strive to educate communities in ways to help animals and we will never stop learning and seeking advice / help from our peers and those who have made an indelible mark in the rescue community.
