This organization started in July 14 as a foster based rescue and continued foster based until January of 17 when a shelter had to be built and it not be a foster based rescue anymore. A building was put up on my property to house dogs and know exactly what was going on with them. I am a retired Navy Petty officer with 24 years and I have a background of 4 and half years of Ohio Humane Agent with Darke County Humane society, I have an AA in Vet technician as well as I am in schooling for dog training. I rescue pit and that is my main passion but I rescue other dogs as well. I pull from kill shelters mostly and stopped recently taking owner surrenders. I do it because the dogs have no voice so I speak for them

Shelter From the Storm Animal Rescue, Inc. was form in 2005 by Allison Davies in response to the overwhelming amount of animals being euthanized in area shelters. Shelter From The Storm is an all breed cat and dog rescue and focuses on alleviating overcrowding in shelters and helping adoptable/treatable animals. Since its inception, Shelter from the Storm helped the Humane Society of the United States during Hurricane Katrina by transporting over 100 animals to safety in Wisconsin, where they were vetted, placed in foster care and ultimately place in forever homes. We also worked with the HSUS in dealing with a local hoarding situation at the Thyme and Sage Ranch in Richland Center, Wisconsin. Thyme and Sage was operating as an animal rescue and as the animal control agency for that area, but was housing in excess of 300 animals. Many of our pets are placed into a home environment with a suitable foster home. Here they begin basic training, receive socialization, and learn what it's like to live in a home. We also attend to their medical needs including vaccinations, heartworm testing, feline leukemia/FIV testing, deworming, and flea/tick prevention. In 2008, in furtherance of its mission, Spay Me! Clinic was opened. Dr. Richard Brown, Elizabeth Yohn, CVT, and Allison Davies, have all performed high volume spay/neuter procedures in a variety of locations and settings and used their knowledge to set up Spay Me! Clinic. At the beginning, surgeries were performed once a week and gradually expanded to six days a week by the end of 2009. Currently, we have two veterinarians, two certified veterinary technicians and several highly trained veterinary assistants on staff. We also utilized volunteers from the general public, volunteer veterinarians, and CVT's. Our clinic provides a great educational setting for veterinary and veterinary technician students who want to learn more about shelter medicine and high volume spay/neuter procedures. Spay Me! Clinic is open to the public, but a main element of the clinic is to extend a helping hand to other rescues and shelters by offering spay/neuter services at a lower cost. Since we are also a rescue, we understand the importance of running a business and keeping costs down. Our veterinarians and staff have become skilled in high volume spay/neuter procedures and continue to expand their skill set. Additional procedures have gradually been added and now include dentals, amputations, foreign object removals, and ACL repairs, to name a few. These "special" procedures are reserved for shelters, rescues, and individuals that have a financial need. Currently we are spaying and neutering over 12,000 dogs and cats every year. Shelter from the Storm is a Madison, WI based non-profit, all breed dog and cat rescue whose mission is to reduce the euthanasia rate of healthy and adoptable animals and to improve the lives of companion animals. We do this by: *Finding permanent home for animals in need *Providing support to communities who do not have access to humane organizations *Educating the public on responsible pet ownership *Providing access to affordable spay, neuter and veterinary care.

Meaza and Deb have been rescuing for about 5 years and working together for the past 3 to 4 years. We have both always had a passion for animals and went from networking to actual rescuing. We are foster based rescue with most of our dogs and puppies fostered in So Cal and then adopted in Oregon. We pull from shelters, but also do street rescue and owner surrenders. We emphasize the importance of spay and neuter as well as training on our Facebook page. We have a goal of becoming a 501c3, but have not yet started the process. We do have a sister rescue (Sunstone Service Dogs) that is a 501c3. We find that there is a significant issue with overpopulation in California that does not exist on the same level in Oregon, and together we have been able to save 100s of dogs and get them into good homes. We strive to be a humble part of the rescue village and greatly value our fosters, adopters, and other supporters.

We strive really hard at our shelter to be as low kill as possible. We work really hard to raise money for surgeries and vetting for our animals. We want our animals to go to the best homes possible and work with several different rescues. I started volunteering at the shelter 5 years ago. I started working part time 4 years ago, and went to full time 3 years ago. I love working with animals. I do a little bit of everything here at the shelter. I administer medicines, vaccines, do adoptions, do rescue, take animals to the vet for their spay/neuter, and do transports.

Shamrock Rescue Foundation saves dogs and other animals who are in danger of being put to death in public shelters. These animals often have little to no hope of a better life, or of a life, period. Without our intervention, many animals now living happy lives with loving families would not have had a chance. We do not discriminate as to breed, size or age. We are advocates for all animals who cannot be advocates for themselves. Our dogs are in foster homes or boarded until permanent homes can be found for them. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian as soon as possible after we get them. Blood work is performed to ensure that they are healthy, or if they aren't, how we can get them healthy. If health care is necessary, we provide it. All are microchipped, spayed and neutered.

9 Lives Cat Rescue of Oxford MS

PO Box 2006
Oxford
MS

The 9 Lives Cat Rescue is a small, welcoming group for cats and the people who love them. Since its foundation in 2006, it has provided care and compassion to stray and surrendered cats in Oxford and Lafayette County MS. The 9 Lives Cat Rescue Group is a volunteer only based 501(C)3 non-profit group. We can take in a limited number of animals (all ages) depending on available foster homes. We offer low and free spay/neuter surgeries for cats (and the occasional dog). We help with transporting animals to/from the veterinarians on surgery days for owners that are unable to do so (no vehicle, cannot afford gas, working hrs, other). We give advice to people to help them keeping their animals to prevent them from being surrendered to 9LCR or to high kill shelters. We practice TNR since 2006 and have managed that way cat populations on several locations in town. Trapped feral cats are not tested for FelV/Fiv as a standard procedure, only if they appear sickly and veterinarian suspects they may be positive. 9LCR is helping with injured (feral) cats and provides trapping of those and consequent medical care. 9LCR has bottle-fed orphans, cared for sick and injured cats/kittens. We do as much as possible to avoid euthanasia. Euthanasia is only considered if a veterinarian recommends it and there is no other hope for recovery.
